starving yourself isnt going to help you lose and maintain weight loss. nor are unsustainable diets that arent usually nutritionally sound. theres no quick fix. people need to stop being lazy and do it the right way. staying healthy isnt rocket science...

A lot of eating disorders begin with a harmless diet. You start counting calories and before you know it,you're not eating at all anymore. Everyone knows the best way is a complete lifestyle change. Eating healthy food in adequate portions and getting a reasonable amount of exercise. Diets don't work.

Because diets don't work. Eating healthily and exercising does. People who diet end up fatter than people who don't. Under eating screws up your metabolism.

How else do you propose overweight people lose weight? The basic law is calories in--calories out. This is a stupid point you're trying--very poorly--to make. Why don't you just say what you mean instead of coyly skirting the issue? So coyly that no one understands your stupid point. This has nothing to do with gender studies, by the way.

Most diets are difficult to keep to, and most people come off them after a while. And often they put the weight back on. In order to lose weight and keep it off permanently, it is necessary to permanently alter your eating habits, rather than going on some faddy diet.
