Should I use weight loss or cardio setting on machines at gym?
Question by MO: Should I use weight loss or cardio setting on machines at gym? I am trying to lose about 30 pounds. I am going to the gym 3-4 times per week. I first do either the treadmill, bike, or elliptical for 30-40 minutes, but I don't know if I should have it set to the "weight loss" or "cardio" program. The weight loss option is less of a work out and keep your heartrate lower, while the cardio pushes you harder, so I'm not sure what to do. I also follow this routine with 30-45 minutes of weight training. Best answer:

first off neither work and both are a load of crap. there is no such thing as fat mode or cardio mode. just go as fast as u can for the 30 min . wikipedia interval training its better and burns fat more than regular cardio. goodluck!

definately the weight loss. the cardio setting is going to build up the heart and lungs and will become to tiring to fast, which equals a shorter workout. without a long lasting workout you won't lose as much weight.
